Project synopsis: Visualisation of a 17th century model of a never completed tower of the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) in the current urban scene.
Project description:
This was one of the submission to the 4DRL launch award in 2018, after which it was executed as a small pilot project. It focusses on the question of the potential visual impact of a church tower next to the Nieuwe Kerk. Several designs for such a tower were made in the 17th century, but it was never executed for political and economical reasons. In this project we used a photo-based 3D model of an original architectural model of this tower and made composite renders of the model in the current urban environment.
